On 21 August 2010, the MSEM2010 Graduation Ceremony took place at Dalian Maritime University. A total of 34 students graduated with WMU MSc degree.
Two more students have recently been awarded a PhD in Maritime Administration; their degrees will be conferred in October 2010.
On 24 July 2010, ITL2010 Graduation Ceremony was held in Shanghai. A total of 36 students graduated.
On 8 July 2010, WMU signed an agreement that the Springer Publishing Company will take over the publication of the WMU Journal of Maritime Affairs from January 2011
On 6 July 2010, the opening ceremony of the WMU MSc programme in Maritime Safety and Environmental Management, was held at Dalian Maritime University, China.
The Swedish Coast Guard welcomed their new vessel that arrived in Karlskrona, Thursday 3 June. KVB 003's main objectives: protect the Baltic Sea against Oil and Chemical discharge, tow and fire extinguishing.
